JP Getty Jnr Charitable Trust

Background

The J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust was endowed by Sir John Paul Getty, KBE, who died in April 2003 in London, where he had lived since the 1970s. The Trust started distributing funds in 1986, and since then it has awarded nearly £70 million in grants to thousands of charities across the United Kingdom.

The Trust is now closed permanently to all unsolicited applications. Please do not send unsolicited funding requests in any form as they will not receive a response. All online applications received before the 18th January 2013 deadline will be assessed and we shall inform you of the stage one outcome in due course. Due to the high number of applications received this may take a number of months.

Important: Occasionally fraudulent emails have been circulated to organisations and individuals, claiming to be from the J Paul Getty Jr Charitable Trust, and advising that a sum of money is available to the email recipient. We do not send unsolicited emails of this nature and will never ask for bank account details from any organisation or individual. We strongly advise that you do not reply to any such email.
